Women Artists of the Finger Lakes II: A Contemporary Show & Sale
Friday, June 1st & Saturday, June 2nd 10AM-5PM and Sunday, June 3rd 10AM-3PM
This fourth annual art show is an example of our congregation's commitment to caring for Canandaigua and the larger Finger Lakes community. Our church continues to support music in the community by hosting many concerts throughout the year and has now added the art show to its offerings. Over two hundred artists have been invited to participate and only women who work or reside in the Finger Lakes are eligible for participation in this juried show. Over one hundred works will be selected for the show. Click here for an exhibit prospectus.

It is in keeping with the history of this area that we feature women artists as women have been a part of the historical significance of our community. Mary Clark Thompson, Susan B. Anthony and the Women's hall of Fame participants to name a few. We want to honor those female artists who are preserving our beautiful surroundings through their work.

We are pleased to offer an appropriate balance of water colors, oils, sculptures, photographs, pastels, acrylic, enamel painting, pen and ink, charcoal drawings and a "Best of Show" award will be given as well as ribbons and certificates of merit. The winners of the judging contest will again this year go to Congressman Tom Reed's Washington Office and will hang there through Labor Day.

Folks will have an opportunity to support the show as a patron. A Patron's wine and cheese reception will be held on Wednesday, May 31st at the church from 7:00-9:00 where prizes will be awarded to the artists.

Admission for the show will be $5.00 and all proceeds will be used to benefit the maintenance and up keep of the church which has been recorded as permanent reference in the Library of Congress for the church's historic and architectural interest and this year is celebrating its 200th anniversary of contiguous religious and community service. People attending the show will have an opportunity to tour the sanctuary of this beautiful building.
